AI Target Detection & Recognition

Using the onboard companion computer, our “AI” ISR systems are able to identify and track People, Vehicles, Vessels and other Objects.

Thanks to the powerful processor and computer vision, our ISR systems can detect and identify up to 10 different “objects” in the field of view of the EO or IR camera, limiting the load on the operator to a maximum, who will be able to devote himself to primary operations

Target tracking

Our ISR Camera Gimbal are able to track to automatically moving objects. The operator can select the target and zoom in, while the on-board processor will keep the target centered on the monitor, regardless of the drone’s movement. This is a key feature for long-range surveillance, monitoring and missing person search applications. Target tracking is critical in applications where the drone and target are both in motion.

Target Geolocalization

Thanks to the long-range and high-precision “LRF” laser distometers installed on our ISR systems for video surveillance and border control, we are able to determine the position of a fixed or mobile target up to a distance of 4 km with an XYZ accuracy of about 5m. This function combined with the drone’s on-board electronics, high-precision GNSS systems, and Mesh communication systems enable Air/land/sea operation coordination with great awareness.

Multiview - PIP

The ability to quickly switch between the full-screen IR view of the thermal imaging camera rather than the RGB Camera is an essential factor to which we have added the PIP “picture in picture” view that allows you to select which camera to see in full screen and which in a smaller frame size. The Picture in Picture function is essential for never losing sight of a thermal detail while we can push the optical zoom up to 30X.

KLV Meta Data (STANAG)

The MPEG-TS stream provides an infrastructure for transporting video, audio, and metadata in a single stream of moving images. KLV (Key-Length-Value) is the current metadata standard recommended by MISB.

It is an SMPTE standard adopted by MISB for digital encoding of metadata in moving image streams. MISB maintains KLV metadata tag records for use in support of UAS operations.

The software not only offers a rich interface of Payload control functions (manageable via external Joysticks), but also allows management of camera setup, OSD interface, control mapping from remote control, and video stream.
In the latest version of SmartControl, we have implemented the “maps” function, which allows the point we are framing to be displayed on a map.
